Dawn’s Story
“Today was nothing short of amazing! They [the students] were still in related arts when I arrived so I was able to participate in PE with them. When I told the teacher what I did with the agency and what I could do to help, I ended up modeling a very quick math lesson for her during their intervention time. She was busily taking notes as I was teaching. I’m going to see if it will be okay with her for me to adjust my schedule and come during their math time so I can model an entire math lesson for her…..I can’t wait to go back Monday! The joy it brings is immeasurable! This is my why!”
“I know the purpose of PRYH was meant to benefit and bless the schools we were in but I’m the one who has been blessed! This experience has allowed me to reconnect with and build relationships with students. I’m excited about being able to model a math lesson. The (first year) teacher has a hunger to learn which excites me!”
“Thank you (& everyone involved) that [sic] made this opportunity possible!”
