Juanita’s Story
“Volunteering with Project Raise Your Hand has been extremely rewarding for me as a former educator.
I had the blessed opportunity to work in a first-year teacher’s classroom and saw first-hand the need for physical, emotional, and moral support in the classroom for both teachers and students. Today’s teachers are faced with challenges and opportunities that teachers of the past did not experience.
This program is timely and mirrors the “village concept”. It is going to take a community of caring individuals to teach our children to be successful in life, be it college, the career field, or the military. It will take ALL of us in all areas of the school to make a difference in the lives of our children.”
